Show you understand irony by writing a Gift of the Magi story!
Today in English II, we spent some time going over the 3 types of irony:
We then listened to Alanis Morisette's non-ironic Ironic and then read O. Henry's famous story, The Gift of the Magi, which looks a little similar to this:
Your assignment, then, is to write your own Gift of the Magi story. Let's see how original and creative you can be with it!
- Verbal Irony
- Dramatic Irony
- Situational Irony
