Are you paying attention?: English II edition

Now it's time for Mr. Webb's favorite game, Are you paying attention?, where Mr. Webb checks to find out if you actually read what he's writing on here.

Today's challenge: Tell me how many days were between Anne Frank's first and last diary entries in The Diary of a Young Girl. The first 5 English II students (who have not already won points) with a correct answer get extra credit. Don't forget to show your work!

Go.

  6. Anne Frank's diary was started in 14 June 1942 and ended in 1 August 1944, three days after it Anne Frank and her family were got caught by the Nazi. I have been study "the Diary of Anne Frank" before when i was elementary school student. I found that Anne didin't wrote her diary everyday. Consequently, I did the stupidest way to find how many days that she wrote in her diary. I took the book which is "the Diary of Anne Frank" and counted the entire book. The solution is there are 554days in "the Diary of Anne Frank" from 14 June 1942 to 1 August 1944.

    2. ok~! i think i misunderstood the question...muhahaha...
The frist day of Anne's diary was 14 June 1942 and the last day was 1 August 1944.
      1942 14 June- 201days
      1943- 365days
      1944 1 August-213
      201+365+213=779
Then, the solution is 779days! :)
